Terms & Conditions - the basics
By booking services through www.oldtownenotary.com, you agree to the following legally binding terms:
Eligibility & Use of Services

You must be at least 18 years old to book or receive notary services.

All signers must present valid, unexpired government-issued identification in compliance with California law.
Payments

Payment in full is required at the time of booking. Appointments are not confirmed until payment is received.

Pricing is listed on our Pricing Page and may vary by travel zone and additional services.

Certain services (printing, scan-backs, courier, apostille submissions) are non-refundable once performed.
Refunds, Cancellations & No-Shows

Cancellations made with 24+ hours’ notice: Full refund.

Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice: 20% cancellation fee (minimum $25).

No-shows: No refund issued.

If signers refuse to sign, lack valid ID, or otherwise prevent completion, a partial travel/appointment fee will still apply:

Zone D: $55

Zone E: $75

Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 business days.
Client Responsibilities

Clients must ensure documents are complete and accurate before notarization.

Clients must determine the type of notarial act required (acknowledgment, jurat, etc.). Old Towne Notary cannot provide legal advice.
Limitation of Liability

Old Towne Notary complies with California Notary Law but does not guarantee legal or financial outcomes from notarizations.

We are not liable for losses, claims, or damages beyond the amount paid for the specific service in dispute.
Website Use & Intellectual Property

All content, including logos and branding, is the property of Old Towne Notary and may not be copied without permission.

You agree not to misuse this website for fraudulent purposes.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, with jurisdiction in Orange County, CA.
